HARVEST MANAGEMENT

Harvesting time:

  • If you are using the corn for grain, cob should be harvested at around 120 days after planting
  • The exact time of harvesting depends on the variety used.
    • Maize is ready for harvest when the plants in the field are turning yellowish and the moisture content of the cob is 20-25%
    • If it rains, maize cobs should be allowed to dry first before harvesting
